Six months before the shootings of the Legend of reggea, Bob Marley, in 3 December, 1976. The whole island of Jamaica was brought into violent incidents and right in the middle of poltical election.

Stevie Wonder did a concert in Jamaica and he gave a half the money that he collected, about $25000 to the salvation Army and a blind school of Jamaica. Bob Marley was very impressed and moved by this and said loud,” Wow, Stevie is very heavy to do a thing like that,” Bob himself wanted to do the same thing! What he decided to do was a free concert and he had to ask for a permission from the government. He saw the prime minister at that time, Mr. Michael Manley and he agreed to it.

After couple days, Bob had a weird dream at night, he said that, he thought he was at war because he was dreaming of gunfire and firecrackers. It was strange how a person like Bob, could sense the danger that comes!

Later that night, at Bobs compound, as usual doing rehearse with the band, the whole Wailers, about 20 people or so, plus couple of youths came to check Bob in the yard outside the house. Bob was sitting down at the edge cutting a grapefruit with a little knife, then later Gunmen forced inside the house of Marleys and attacked the compound by firing bullets towards the area where Bob was, it was a assassination attempt. Bob got wounded in the arm and other parts of the body and couple of other members also got badly wounded!

       It was terrible but nobody got charged instead Bob Marley has to exit by escaping to the Bahamas for a while.
