Bad start for Kenyans (2008)
It has been two weeks since the new year 2008 approached the lives of so many Kenyans with violence and death toll. The general elections'
results led to some major confusions,its about who exctaly won the
election, according to the government statements,that the current
president Mr.Kibaki won to se
rve another 5 year term as
Kenyan president.

The oppositon party leader, Mr.Odinga, the son of the freedom and political fighter of 70s and 80s, Mr.Odinga Odinga. Mr.Odinga claimed that the ressults were a forgery and votes were stolen from people in order to give Mr.Kibaki power.
The violence erupted right after the results came out which led to massive killings within just a short time or days, this led to ethnic descrimination of between the Luos and Kikuyus. The Luos belong to Mr.Odinga and the Kikuyus belong to the now ruling president, Mr.Kibaki

"Estimated upto now, more than 560 deaths toll reached according to local government officials in Kenya, churches were burned down by the opposition supporters, the burned all the kikuyus who ran inside the churches searching for shelter but ending up in ashes, may God rest their soul in peace!"
The Kenya drama scenes has led to so much tention inside the East African region, some thousands of refugees have
fled to Uganda and
other neighbouring countries like Burundi,Rwanda and Tanzania.
Some worldwide leaders have reacted to it and urged the Kibaki team to
hold talks with Mr.Odinga for a solution to be found for the sake of
millions of lives in Kenya.In economic aspect, huge effect on tourism which is a backbone to may Kenyans, many tourists have fled home or
to other countries. Instead of
tourists cheking in some hotels but the check out, which make the
Mombasa beaches to be come empty! This can also lead to increase of
crminals and abusement of women and even prostitutions!Mr.Kibaki is ureged by the world to maintain peace and stability in Kenya, Mr.Odinga wants that the general election to be repeated for the sake of democracy. He doesn't want power sharing with the ruling government, which has been a struggle since a longtime ago, the Luos have been for so many years in Kenya descriminated and not been given good positions. The Kikuyus have been dominating since the era of Moi.
