EAST AFRICA NEEDS A BETTER TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM
Some travel
by roads, well… this is also another problem for a country like Tanzania for example, the size of Tanzania alone is like if you take the size of Germany plus France
and Belgium together, or
take the size of Germany
multiply times 5, I think you get the picture! If the roads are not good with
lots holes and bumpy, plus the flying is too expensive, maybe Railways, the
problems of the rails are big too, There are few rail tracks to provide the
full services of transport to all people, due to the size of the country, it s
impossible to reach everybody.
This makes
impossible in so many projects which involve transportation, like medical cares
around the rural areas, or building of new schools in a education matter, or
even the whole governing is becoming more difficult.

Water ways
are okay but not satisfying at all, if you want to travel to Zanzibar
or Mafia or Pemba
Islands upto Tanga, then its okay. After the incident of
MV Bukoba sinking inside the great Lake Victoria,
was a horror and a big mistrust in transportation.
Governments
spend so much money in paying the politicians for doing so little work in the
cabinet, while the other citizens of East African countries can not travel in a
cheaper way plus long hours of being on the way, is one of the factor that
increases accidents to so many!
We really
hope that one day that East African countries will try to develop and become
more high tech in transportation industry. The spending on constructions of
roads or planes, can affordable if the Political leaders stand together and
make it work.
